Former Township Rollers coach Frank Nutall is among top contenders for the vacant Black Leopards’ job.
The position fell vacant after coach Alan Clark resigned last Tuesday, leaving the club with no alternative but to find a replacement, with barely few days before the 2019/20 Premier Soccer League resumption.
Nutall coached Rollers for five months before falling out with the club. He is currently looking for a new opportunity following the coronavirus pandemic.
Apart from coaching the Botswana Premier League giants, Nutall had stints with Egyptian side Zamalek SC, Ghanaian outfit Hearts Of Oak and Kenyan giants Gor Mahia.
The 52-year-old tactician started his coaching journey as a fitness tactician with Scottish side St. Mirren before joining Rangers in the same capacity.
Nutall’s first stint away from his native Scotland was assistant coach job at Al-Nasr Dubai SC before returning to England with Middlesbrough as a fitness coach.
His greatest feat in his coaching career was when he led Gor Mahia to the 2015 Kenyan Premier League title in an unbeaten fashion.
Black Leopards are currently in danger of relegation, with just 20 points from 24 games played this season, after changing coaches four times this season.
Lionel Soccoia, Luc Eymael and Johnson all came and left before Clark, who oversaw eight games prior to the season’s suspension back in March.
