Generation Foot’s Coach Insists He Won’t Resign

Generation Foot’s gaffer Djiby Fall says he isn’t throwing in the towel even after six defeats and languishing at the bottom of the table.

Generation Foot’s gaffer Djiby Fall says he isn’t throwing in the towel even after six defeats and languishing at the bottom of the table.

The plummet of Metz FC-back Generation is a major concern for a side that has won the Senegalese league title back-to-back including the last term.

Some of their key players have been cashed in during the transfer window but they have had replacements come in, with results not trickling in as expected.

Many thought Saturday’s loss to current table-toppers Tengueth FC would be the last straw for the manager.

Against expectations, Djiby still remains as the team’s tactician claiming in a recent post-game interview that he still has the board’s backing.

“I must not resign. I don’t think it’s time to let go of the players. We are in a difficult situation. This step is difficult compared to the ambitions of the team.

“I will continue to work because it is the life of a coach which is what I am. I admit that it is difficult but, I have the confidence of the president (Mady Touré) and it is very important,” he said.
