Ghana FA Confirms Venue For Black Stars And Brazil Friendly

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed Stade Oceana as the host venue for the international friendly between the Black Stars and Selecao.

The international friendly was confirmed three weeks ago but question marks remained on where it will be hosted with earlier reports indicating United Arab Emirates.

Recall that Ducor Sports had earlier reported that Brazil listed Ghana for a friendly match as part of its preparations for the 2022 World Cup.

“The two teams will face off in Le Harve-France on Friday, September 23, 2022 in preparations towards the FIFA World Cup 2022 finals,” GFA said in a statement.

Both teams will bbe taking part in the global football showcase in Qatar and they have lined up several friendlies to prosecute before the tournament.

Ghana have set another friendly against Switzerland in United Arab Emirates on November 17, days after gathering their squad together for the finals.

There is only a one-week window of preparation for the 32 countries competing in Qatar with players joining up with their national teams from November 13 as league football around the world shuts down and the Qatar finals take centre stage.

The Black Stars will play Portugal on November 24, South Korea on November 28, and Uruguay on December 2 in Qatar, while Brazil face Serbia, Switzerland, and Cameroon for their group matches.
