Gor Mahia And German Coach Andreas Spiers Part Ways

Gor Mahia have parted ways with German coach Andreas Spiers, the record Kenyan champions announced on Tuesday.

The 59-year-old, who replaced Mark Harrison, managed a third place finish despite flattering in parts of second half of Kenyan Premier League.

“We can confirm that we have mutually parted ways with head coach Andreas Spiers. His contract ended and we are now in the market for a new coach. We wish him well,” the club said in a terse statement.

Spiers previously worked as Technical Director at Hangzhou as well as International Football Development Advisor for China, Zhejiang Province.

He is known in the East African region for having led Rwandese giants APR to the Rwandan League and Cup Double in 2013-2014.

He holds a UEFA Pro Licence and worked as Technical Director at Football Associations Rwanda as well.
