CAF Disciplinary Board has fined Kenyan champions Gor Mahia $7,500 (approx Ksh. 760,000) for fans’ unsporting behaviour during their CAF Confederation Cup playoff match at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

K’Ogalo were served with the letter from the African football governing body on Wednesday after their fans threw water bottles and plastic chairs during a match against DR Congo side Daring Club Motema Pembe that was played on October 27.

“Arising from Disciplinary Board’s meeting on 18th November 2019, the board has decided to impose upon your club a financial sanction of seven thousand, five hundred US Dollars for the throwing of missiles,” stated the letter from CAF and obtained by Ducor Sports.

The club has three days to appeal the decision whereby it is understood that if the last day of the time limit coincides with a public holiday in the country of residence, the time limit will expire the next day which is not a public holiday.

K’Ogalo administrators are reported to be locked in a meeting where they are said to be still internalizing the development before taking any action.

Gor Mahia exited the Confederation Cup after an aggregate loss to DC Motema Pembe in the playoff stage.

The Kenyan side has of late bore the brunt of CAF regarding disciplinary cases that has marred their continental matches.

In January the club suffered a setback when the continental football governing body slapped them with a $ 10,000 fine for unsporting behaviour during their continental match against Lobi Stars in Nigeria.
