Gor Mahia Set To Name Robertinho As New Coach

Gor Mahia are set to unveil former Rayon Sports head coach Roberto Oliveira Goncalves do Carmo aka Robertinho as their new mentor for the 2020/21 season.

Robertinho will take over the coaching reins from Steven George Pollack, who on Friday parted ways with the glamour club on mutual consent.

Ducor Sports has it on good authority that the Brazilian gaffer arrived in Nairobi on Saturday ahead of his official unveiling at the FKF Premier League club.

“Roberto Oliveira Goncalves do Carmo is on his way to K’Ogalo offices as we speak,” a source close to the club tells Ducor Sports.

“He is expected to become the new coach of Gor Mahia.”

The former Rayon Sports coach has been without a club since being asked to leave the Rwanda Premier League club in October last year.

Robertinho is not new to Gor Mahia as he beat them 2-1 in the 2018/2019 CAF Confederation Cup group stage match at the Kasarani Stadium.

This publication understands that Robertinho has signed a two-year deal and is set to be assisted by Patrick Odhiambo in the new BetKing Premier League season.
