Guinea national team head coach Didier Six has announced a 23-man squad for the upcoming friendlies against Cape Verde and Gambia.
The Syli Nationale will face Cape Verde in Algarve, Portugal on October 10 before facing the Gambia three days later at the same venue.
Coach Six has made three changes to the squad that beat Namibia 2-0 in their last 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier played in Conakry in November last year.
The Frenchman has brought in Horoya AC’s midfielder Abou Mangue Camara, Belgium-based striker Ibrahima Bah, Santoba’s Mohamed Camara and Saint –Etienne’s forward Saidou Sow.
Mohamed Camara, who is the son of Guinea legend Kemoko Camara, and 18-year-old defender Saidou Sow, have also been included in the 23-man squad.
This will be Six’s fifth match in charge following the sacking of Paul Put who was shown the door for allegedly breaching Guinea FA code of ethics and its code of discipline.
The two friendlies will prepare Guinea for the upcoming back-to-back 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Chad in November.
Guinea lead leads Group A of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with 4 points ahead of Mali, Namibia and Chad.
