The Pharaohs rode over Algeria on a close margin in the semis of the men African handball Championship.

In a tie ending 27-30 in the Cairo-based side’s favour, winner of the tourney earns automatic qualification to the Olympics group stages.

However, first Egypt must get the better of either Angola or Tunisia who were locking horns in the other semis battle at press time.
