Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak have continued bolstering their playing unit ahead of the resumption of the season signing Ivorian winger Eric Dizan.
The 26-year-old signed a deal that will keep him at the Phobians until the summer of 2022, the club announced on Monday.
“Hearts of Oak is excited to announce the signing of the winger Eric Dizan. The Ivorian international has signed a three-year contract with the club,” reads the statement.
The Phobians have been hard at work in the transfer market, bringing in two foreign signings as well as seeing a number of exits.
Nigerian striker Ademola Danjuma Kuti and Niger midfielder Abdourahamane Mamane Lawali were all recently confirmed at Hearts.
The biggest acquisition, however, is that of Dizan, who last played competitive football for Stade de Abidjan in 2019.
His relationship with the Stade de Abidjan grew frosty weeks after joining the club and his contract was terminated before he could make even a single appearance for the club.
The player representative who spoke on condition of anonymity told Ducor Sports that Hearts Of Oak made contact with the player during his time at Stade de Abidjan.
The winger has also stints with Ivoire Académie Abidjan and RC Bettié in his native Ivory Coast.
Before the suspension of Ghana Premier League, the Accra-based side was lying on position nine with 21 points after 14 rounds of matches.
Hearts of Oak are the second most successful club in the history of the competition, having won the title on 19 occasions.
