Hearts Of Oak Striker Exit Imminent, Potential Destination Unidentified

Hearts of Oak forward Bernard Arthur could be on his way out of the club after allegedly falling out with coach Edward Odoom.

Arthur has found the back on the net once this season and has seen a limited number of matches after match week 14 in the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.

Despite spending much time on grandstands, the former AS Aïn M’lila striker has been linked with an exit from the Phobians, with city rivals Eleven Wonders and Karela United said to be keen on his services at some stage.

The 26-year-old still has 26 months remaining on his contract but according to sources, he is part of players who are mulling for options over their next move over lack of game time.

Accra Great Olympics have emerged as the latest club to show interest in the forward, who is likely to make a move on a free transfer if his written request is approved Ghana Football Association.

“It’s unfortunate the boy is finding himself in such a situation with such kind of talent,” says the source.

“The club does not want to send him off though the player needs more playing time. He has had a chat with his manager about the situation.”

Arthur joined the Phobians in August last year after ending his stay with Algerian top-flight side AS Aïn M’lila.

He had a stint with Tanzanian giants Azam FC before leaving to join the Algeria Ligue Professionnelle 1 club last year.

Arthur netted ten (10) goals in his 24 appearances for Liberty Professionals during the 2016/17 Ghana Premier League season

Hearts of Oak are currently 9th on the league log with 21 points after 14 matches played thus far.

Ghana Premier League is currently under suspension until further notice following the directives given by the President of the Republic.
