Vincent Enyeama’s fine form for Lille gave hope to Nigeria’s goalkeeping choices but a knee injury has ruled him out for the rest of the season and it may require the team to reconsider its options at the back.

Lille tweeted.
Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, may have considered reinstating Enyeama among his top choices after his number one selection and to-be successor, Carl Ikeme, sustained an injury.
Enyeama quit the national team in 2016 following a controversial fall out with former coach Sunday Oliseh in the team’s call in Belgium.
However, Rohr had met with the former Super Eagles captain linking him with a possible return to international football after Ikeme – who succeeded as Super Eagles number one choice – was sidelined by injury.
Injuries mean fitness levels drop which may force Rohr to consider looking at other options ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations and 2018 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Cameroon respectively in June.
Rohr’s goalkeeping options are a worry for the Super Eagles who continue to mull over the problem facing the team on who the replacement for number one choice and reliable goal stopper will be.
In spite of all the worry, there is hope in form of a young American based goalkeeper, Joel Isyag who says he has what it takes to fill that gap.
The 6 foot 2-inch player who just signed for the Super Eagles Football Club of Maryland looks ready to take on the job between the posts and has over six clean sheets in his last games with a number of individual awards.

the 20-year-old Kaduna State-born said.
