Sofapaka striker Umaru Kasumba has landed trials with an unnamed German third-tier side, his agent has confirmed.

The forward has been in good form for Batoto Ba Mungu netting 17 times and is a goal shy of top scorer Allan Wanga with two rounds of league matches left.

He could now be set for a move to Germany if his trials bear fruits. This has been confirmed by his agent, Rony Santos. Kasumba’s contract with Mike Baraza’s side expires this June.

“We have been in touch with one club in the Germany 3-Liga and they have agreed to have him on a three-week trial when the league in Kenya ends,” he told Kahawa Tungu.

Santos further revealed that the player has a number of offers from outside the country. He revealed that Zambian, Egyptian and Moroccan sides are also trailing the attacker.

“We also have other offers for him from Egypt, Morocco and Zambia, but it’s better to first let him finish the league. I was in Kenya last week but one to discuss with him about his future because, after this season, he will be a free agent. For now, I want him to win the golden boot and he is fighting hard for it,” he added.

Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards are reportedly interested in the striker.
