On-loan Everton forward Henry Onyekuru is set to miss the rest of the season after tearing his medial ligament on Friday.

The Nigerian forward was carried off in the 78th minute after colliding with former team KAS Eupen’s goalkeeper when he was trying to win the ball.

“The medical staff of RSCA reports after extensive medical research that Henry Onyekuru has torn his medial bond.” they posted on their official website.
“Henry will soon be operated on. The medical staff is in close contact with his parent club Everton to determine where the Nigerian will go. Henry got injured against his KAS Eupen on Friday.” they added.
Onyekuru joined Everton from KAS Eupen but was immediately loaned to Belgian champions Anderlecht where he has been on-form. Despite playing mostly as a wide forward, he had so far scored 9 goals in 19 appearances earning him his first national call-up.
Barcelona, Manchester United, Juventus, Celtic have all been reportedly monitoring the forward but this injury will definitely hinder his progress.
