Interests In Issa Kabore’s Services Mounting

Burkina Faso star Issa Kabore could leave KV Mechelen next month with interests in his services reportedly mounting.

Kabore enjoyed a remarkable start to life with the Belgian First Division outfit upon joining them from Rahimo, but his form suffered a notable dip before the league was cancelled.

While his influence off the pitch has been well documented in Belgian media, reports have surfaced claiming several Manchester City and AC Milan have enquired about his availability.

An agent of the 18-year-old has also disclosed to Ducor Sports that the two sides are among a trio of clubs after his client.

“There is interest from a number of clubs. A move to the Premier League is a possibility for the player. But, he [Issa Kabore] has two years left on his contract with Mechelen,” he said.

Despite the mounting interest, Belgian publication Voetbal Nieuws suggests it’s unlikely that Mechelen will allow Kabore’s stay at the club to be terminated.

The Stallions star has scored one goal and registered two assists in eight games for the Belgian outfit in the 2019/2020 season.

Kabore made his senior Burkina Faso debut in June 2019 during an international friendly against the Democratic Republic of Congo.
