Isaac Tshibangu Finally Unveiled By Belgian Club Anderlecht

Democratic Republic of Congo international Isaac Tshibangu has officially joined Belgian side Anderlecht as the club has officially unveiled the youngster after weeks of trying to seal the deal.

Anderlecht completed the transfer agreement for the 19-year-old for a fee plus an array of potential bonuses that takes up the deal at about €20million.

The two clubs, TP Mazembe and Anderlecht, signed the final relevant documents a fortnight ago with Tshibangu having already passed a medical with the Jupiler Pro club in Brussels on Friday.

The forward, who had spent just two years with the Ravens, joins on a three-year contract.

Tshibangu attracted interests from other top European clubs with Niko Kovač’s AS Monaco also trying their luck for the forward, but Anderlecht has finally ended all speculations.

During his stay at Mazembe, Tshibangu proved himself an important player in the team’s attack due to his explosive playing style and his speed on the wings.

In the just-concluded season, he found the net just once in 23 league outings as Mazembe finished claimed another DR Congo title after accruing 66 points from 30 games.

He becomes sixth African player to join the side after Morocco’s Anouar Ait El Hadj, Congo’s Albert Sambi Lokonga and Ghana’s trio of Majeed Ashimeru, Dauda Mohammed and Francis Amuzu.
