Ivorian Striker Sacked 48hrs After Signing Contract for Refusing Medical

Kouame Noel N’Guessan Bi is perhaps the quickest player to be sacked in a job after being shown the exit door forty-eight hours following his acquisition.

The 21-year-old touched down in the Tunisian capital intent on playing for Tunisian premier league team Stade Tunisen.

The Ivory Coast youth international departed Abidjan-based side Sewe Sport having conducted successful negotiations to put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal with long term admirers Tunisien.

His acquisition was highly publicized and was being dubbed as a major statement in the North African club’s pursuit of glory next season.

Flashing cameras was the scenery at his signature as he posed donning the club jersey before inking a three-year deal.

However, barely forty-eight hours after landing, news soon filtered out that the much discussed deal is off with the club prompted to confirm it a day after the Ivorian’s presentation.

It turned out that the Elephants’ wing-man opted against undergoing a mandatory medical. Reason for Bi’s failure to agree to the procedure wasn’t divulged and the player –it’s reported –has no history of medical problems.

As a result, Stade Tunisien decided against copying the wing-wizard’s contract papers to the Tunisian FA for work permit.
