Ivorian Striker Yikpe Gnamien Signs For Chabab Mohammedia

Moroccan top-flight side Chabab Mohammedia has confirmed the signing of Yikpe Gnamien from Libyan side Asswehly SC.

The 24-year-old Ivorian center-forward makes a switch from Misurata-based outfit after just four months with the club.

Mohammedia indicated that the striker has started training with the side after signing three-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2024.

The transfer to Moroccan side looks a good one for Yikpe who will be desperately hoping to stay fit to play regular first-team football again.

Yikpe has already played for nine clubs in his career, including Guinean giants Hafia FC and Kenyan Premier League side Gor Mahia.

He is remembered for his unceremonious departure from Gor Mahia to Tanzanian giants Yanga Sports Club.

However, Yikpe became an object of ridicule by the media and ever vocal fans week in, out as goals refused to come.

He was released by Yanga and made a move to Saudi Arabia where he featured for Arar before being snapped up by Al-Enstar.

He struggled for Rabigh City sponsored  club making a few appearances most of them from the bench before switching to Asswehly on a free-transfer.
