Jeremy Saygbe Kicked Out of Lone Star Camp

Jeremy Saygbe was on Friday kicked out of the Liberia national team camp for the return-leg of 2022 World Cup qualifier against Cape Verde on disciplinary grounds.

It’s alleged that the RB Linens versatile defender sneaked a woman in camp following the national team’s  2-1 loss to Cape Verde in the first-leg clash of World Cup qualifying in Ghana.

Saygbe has been part of Lone Stars squad that was preparing for the match-day 4 encounter against the Blue Sharks in Praia.

Liberia Football Association president Mustapha Raji confirmed the technical bench decision on State Radio on Saturday, and has since written to Linens informing them about the disciplinary measure taken on the defender.

“We respect the decision of the technical staff because the head Coach made the decision and as part of our responsibilities at the LFA is to insure the player exit the camp, like in this case, return to Spain,” said Raji as per LFA’s official Facebook page.

”We have communicated with RB Linense over the situation with their player…it’s about Liberia and we need to be focused when we attend these competitions.”

It’s believed that Saygbe will be replaced by LPRC Oilers’ defender Ben Benaiah or Marcus Macauley, who is considered much fit for the game.

A reliable source at Lone Stars camp told Ducor Sports that two other players had sneaked out of their hotel rooms and went on a drinking spree the whole night at a nearby pub.

One player, now established to be Saygbe, sneaked heavily lipsticked woman for some ‘tuition’ in his room.

Saygbe has featured in all three qualifying matches in the second rounds of the 2022 Qatar World Cup campaign.
