Kagere: Singida Big Stars Seal Signing Of Rwandan Striker After Leaving Simba

Rwandan striker Meddie Kagere has finally been unveiled at newly promoted Tanzania Mainland Premier League side Singida Big Stars.

The 35-year-old player, who left Simba Sports Club after five years of service on July 31,2022 , has been unveiled after agreeing to pen a two-year contract.

The Amavubi ace left Simba after winning four Tanzania Premier League titles, four FA Cups and three Community Shields,

Kagere also helped Simba qualify for the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup group stages on three occasions.

The striker joined Simba in June 2018 after his contract with the Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia ended.

His move from Gor Mahia is reported to have earned him USD 80,000 as a sign on fee, and with a monthly salary of USD 4,000.

Kagere has also played for Atraco FC, Kiyovu Sports, Mukura Victory, Police FC, Rayon Sports in his home country, and KF Tirana of Albania.

He emerged top scorer at the NBC-sponsored premier league in two consecutive seasons.
