Kaizer Chiefs reached the CAF Champions League semifinals despite losing 3-0 to Simba Sports Club on Saturday as they progressed 4-3 on aggregate.
Simba dominated proceedings from the onset, but struggled to fashion decent scoring chances early on due to some poor decision making in the final third.
Luis Miquissone had the first chance of the game around the quarter hour mark when he met an inch perfect cross from the right, but he headed just wide of the target.
The Msimbazi Reds finally made their sustained pressure pay off on the 24th minited courtesy of a well-placed strike from John Bocco, 1-0.
The second half continued in the same fashion and eventually Simba doubled their lead around the hour mark when a swift passing movement from the home team concluded with Bocco capitalizing on Chiefs poor defence to get a brace with a smart finish, 2-0.
Simba grabbed their third goal of the game in the 86th mine when Clatous Chama sent a clinical finish from just inside the box, 3-0.
Simba continued to dominate matters, but could not add to the scoreline.
Chiefs will face either MC Alger or Wydad Casablanca in semifinals. Both teams are locked at 1-1 ahead of their second leg clash in Morocco later this evening.
