Keagan Dolly Joins Kaizer Chiefs

South Africa Premier Soccer League side Kaizer Chiefs have announced the signing Bafana Bafana midfielder Keagan Dolly from French club Montpellier HSC.

The 28-year-old joins the Amakhosi on a three-and-half contract after spending five seasons in Paris with the Paillade.

He becomes the latest player to be unveiled by the Naturena-based giants following the arrival of Cole Alexander.

Before moving to Europe, Dolly played for Mamelodi Sundowns between 2014 and January 2017 and his move was worth USD 1.7 million.

The gifted winger amassed 63 appearances for Montpellier during his spell where he scored once and registered three assists in all competitions.

His move to Kaizer Chiefs re-unites him with Leonardo Castro and Khama Billiat as the trio once formed a killer strike partnership for Downs.

The Brazilians were keen on re-signing him, with Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly also interested in acquiring his services.

Dolly had previously expressed his desire to remain in Europe, and may football analysts saw his return to Africa seems highly unlikely.

The Guateng-born star will bring a wealth of experience to the table in Kaizer Chiefs bid to push for a continental football slot next season after missing out last season, having finished in eighth position.
