Kevin-Prince Boateng Splits From Wife Melissa Satta

Ex-Barcelona and AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng and his wife Melissa Satta have made a decision to split after five years of marriage.

In a statement posted on Instagram Monday, the 33-year-old made the announcement that came as a surprise to many. The couple tied the knot in 2016 and their relationship produced one child, Maddox Boateng.

“After a period of separation, we have decided to terminate our relationship permanently, in full respect of each other’s positions and complete serenity, while we remain an important reference point for the growth of our son Maddox,” former Ghana international posted on Instagram.

Satta also released a similar statement on her Instagram page about the marriage ending after five years.

The Italian model had previously made a public confession of the couple’s active sex life which she said was hurting their relationship with the football star.

She shocked the world in 2012 when she revealed the on loan Besiktas forward would have sexual relations with her 10 times a week and  attributed the consistent injury of the German-star to the excessive sexual escapade.

Boateng, who also counts Tottenham, Portsmouth and Schalke among his former clubs, currently turns for Italian Serie B side Monza.

Boateng won the Serie A title with AC Milan while Berlusconi joined the Italian outfit in September from Fiorentina.
