Kenyan Premier League side, AFC Leopards have terminated the contract of midfielder Henry Uche.
The player’s future at 13-times KPL champions has been unclear after failing to live up to expectations and the club chairman Dan Mule has confirmed the Super Eagles forward is now a free agent.
[perfectpullquote align=”full” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]”We have agreed to terminate his contract. He’s not playing and there is no business in keeping a foreigner who’s not helping the team,”[/perfectpullquote]
said Mule.
Last month, attacking midfielder was informed that his contract would be terminated due to his poor form coupled with undisclosed issues that saw him miss training sessions on a couple of occasions.
His agent Joel Buade stated that Uche was waiting for his clearance, before he could start looking for a new club as a free agent.
Uche was one of the most outstanding players at Enyimba few years ago, which earned him a call-up to the Super Eagles before he transferred to Albanian club FK Kukësi in 2014.
The player joined Ingwe on January 2018 on a one-year-contract having joined from Nigeria Professional Football League side Shooting Stars, but featured in three KPL matches out of 15 games that the team has played so far this season.
