St Etienne defender Harold Moukoudi is being considered for a potential loan move away from French Ligue 1 outfit with several English Championship teams interested in the player, according to reports.
The Cameroon international has struggled for form and playing time since joining the club from French Ligue 2 side, Le Harve, ten months ago.
The 22-year-old defender has struggled to find a place in both Claude Paul and Ghislain Printant’s sides and has just made 11 appearances in all competitions this season.
Ducor Sports understands that Moukoudi is ready to end his unhappy stay at Etienne and move to England where Leeds, Derby, West Ham and Stoke City want him on loan with an option to buy until the end of the season.
There are reports that Leeds has reached an agreement with Etienne for an eight-month loan deal but some representatives from the French club seemed to suggest that they would prefer to sell rather than loan the player this month.
Leeds will pay an initial £500,000 for the loan and if they decide to make the move permanent, they will part with £10 million.
Last season, Moukoudi was a subject of a foiled move to English Premier League side Aston Villa, having decided to snub the interest so that he can continue his development with regular first-team football.
Villa were ready to pay a loan fee for Moukoudi before coming to a permanent transfer for the 10 million pounds-rated player.
