Mamelodi Sundowns’ Coach: “Wits Game Won’t be Easy”

Pitso Mosimane coach of South African Premier Soccer League side Mamelodi Sundowns reckons his charges’ game on Tuesday with Bidvest Wits won’t be easy.

Pitso Mosimane coach of South African Premier Soccer League side Mamelodi Sundowns reckons his charges’ game on Tuesday with Bidvest Wits won’t be easy.

Also called The Brazilians, Mamelodi trail log leaders Kaizer Chiefs by four points and a win against Bidvest Wits will have them reduce the lead to just a point after Chiefs’ loss on Saturday.

However, Pitso, also former national team gaffer for the Rainbow nation, believes the task ahead will be herculean but achievable.

“We played Wits here [in the first round] we did well, let’s be honest we should have won, because we missed a lot of chances, ‘Mshishi’ missed two open chances and [Motjeka] Madisha hit the post.

“But Wits is a strong team, you see how they play it’s not easy. I was surprised we got so many chances against them and I know ‘Hunty’ [Gavin Hunt] will change, he’ll sort it out, it’s not going be easy. The match on Tuesday is a very important game,” the 55-year-old said after their 3-0 win over AmaZulu.

Bidvest are going into next week’s fixture emboldened by a 2-0 win over Stellenbosch.

Elsewhere, Orlando Pirate drew Celtics 1-1 while Polokwane City beat Chippa United 2-0 and SuperSport humbled Kaizer Chiefs 2-1.
