Mamelodi Sundowns Set To Unveil New Signing

South Africa Premier Soccer League side Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly preparing a huge reception for soon to be ex- SCC Mohammedia defender Abdelmounaim Boutouil.

The Brazilians finally managed to convince the Moroccan Botola aces to let go the 24-year-old in a deal worth $400,000 on Tuesday after weeks of speculations and back and forth negotiations between the two sides.

Sources at Sundowns have revealed their latest acquisition with several South African publications disclosing that the defender would undergo the necessary medical examination on Friday morning, before being unveiled later next week.

Boutouil is expected to be unveiled on the same day as Bafana Bafana captain Rowen Williams who has already agreed to leave SuperSport United for a new challenge.

The central defender  has been looking for a move from Mohammedia following his unsuccessful spell at Raja Casablanca.

Sundowns coaches have been keen to sign him after letting go of Ricardo Nascimento during the January transfer window.

Boutouil will partner with the likes of Rushine De Reuck, Grant Kekana, Brian Onyango, Mosa Lebusa and Bangaly Soumahoro in defence.

The Brazilians have only signed Sipho Mbule from crosstown rivals SuperSport United during this window.
