Man Utd Target Bayern Munich Striker Choupo-Moting

Manchester United are extremely interested in signing Bayern Munich striker Eric Choupo-Moting if the recent reports are to be believed.

The Red Devils are looking to  sign one centre-forward in January transfer widow and the Cameroonian international is on the shortlist of the technical director Darren Fletcher. The Scottish transfer chief has even held talks with Choupo-Moting representatives in the recent times, with the player now into the final months of his contract at Bavaria.

Man Untd News  has previously reported that Choupo-Moting has been discussed by the Red Devils boss Ten Hag and Fletcher.

The reports acclaim that the negotiations will enter ‘the hot’ phase in the coming days but the player would rather extend his contract at Bayern.

Choupo-Moting has become the decisive s player in Bayern and his form has superb with nine goals and three assists from jut 15 appearances. His latest goals came on Saturday when he scored twice in 9 seconds by pouncing on loose balls in the box.

The 32-year-old will continue attracting the spotlight in the remaining two Bundesliga games before the World Cup with Cameroon.

A former Germany youth international, Choupo-Moting switched international allegiance to Cameroon in 2010.

He has represented Indomitable Lions for three Africa Cup of Nations finals and 2010 World Cup in South Africa following his debut in 2015.

He took the Indomitable Lions armband prior to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, taking over from Benjamin Moukandjo, who announced retirement from international duty few months before the finals.
