Marcelo Allende Unveiled At Mamelodi Sundowns

South Africa Premier Soccer League giants Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday officially unveiled Chilean midfielder Marcello Allende.

The 23-year-old signed a five-year contract in July but was not able to make it to Johannesburg due to problems caused by passport issues.

Allende, who made his Chile debut in December 2021, joins the Brazilians from Uruguayan top-flight side Montevideo City Torque.

He joins the likes of  Bongani Zungu, Abubeker Nasir, Sipho Mbule and Ronwen Williams, who were signed by the club at the start of the season.

Allende underwent trials at Arsenal and he played for the Premier League giants’ under-19 team at the 2017 Durban International Cup.

The midfielder was one of the stars in the FIFA Under-17 World Cup in 2015 where he captained the side, scoring twice in four games.
