Match Officials for Bandari, Horoya Named

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named match officials that will oversee CAF Confederation Cup tie between Kenya’s Bandari FC and Guinea’s Horoya AC.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named match officials that will oversee CAF Confederation Cup tie between Kenya’s Bandari FC and Guinea’s Horoya AC at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani on Sunday, November 3, 2019.

Zimbabwean Norman Materema, who became famous after rejecting a US$ 10,000 bribe from Equatoguinean side Desportivo Niefang to influence a match against Ivorian side Williamsville Athletic Club at home last season, will be the centre man for the tie.

He will be assisted by fellow compatriot Salani Ncube, with Edgar Rumeck being the first and second assistant referee respectively while Brighton Chimene will be the fourth official. Jean Claude Niyongabo from Burundi will serve as the match commissioner.

Bandari will be out to turn a 4-2 deficit if they harbour any hopes of making it to the group stage of the competition with anything less pushing them out of the competition.

Veteran striker Aristide Bance scored a hat-trick in the 1st, 50th and 67th minute in Conakry with Dramane Nikiema adding the fourth in the 16th minute for the Guinean team.

Hassan Abdallah and William Wardi scored a goal each in the 28th and 45th minute for the dockers to put the tie at 2-2 at half time.

The Dockers have been preparing for the match since Tuesday hours after arrival from Guinea where they played the first leg of the match.
