Mo Sangare: Accrington Stanley Unveil Midfielder From Newcastle

Liberian midfielder Mo Sangare has finally been unveiled at Skybet League One side Accrington Stanley on a free transfer.

The Lone Stars ace joins the Lancashire-based side from Newcastle on a two-year deal and has been finally welcomed at former new club.

Sangare was excited by the new development and expressed the urge to set foot in the pitch though the club states that the move is subject to EFL and FA ratification.

“I couldn’t wait to come back, it’s an opportunity and I took it. This place was like home when I was first here, it all started here, and it will be good to play in front of the fans,” the lad told his club website.

“I only played four games and I feel I have unfinished business. I need people to see what I am capable of and what I can do and coming back here and being injury free (hopefully) will show the people what they missed.”

Sangare was born in Monrovia and moved to England at the age of 14 where he attended Accrington and Rossendale College as a teenager.

The 23-year-old was previously linked with a move to Blackpool where he appeared as a trialist for the Seasiders in a Lancashire Senior Cup clash against Liverpool.

The midfielder has represented  Liberian national team the Lone Stars on five occasions.
