Mohammed Koffi has refused to rule out the possibility of coming out of international retirement with Burkina Faso.

The Smouha defender has not represented his country since calling it time on his national career in 2015.

However, the 33-year-old has insisted he is willing to listen to any advances from the Burkina Faso Football Federation.

“I can never say No to the people of Burkina Faso. Burkina has given me a lot. Coming back to the national team will be a great chance for me in my career,” Koffi told Sportdrome.

The Ivory Coast-born Burkinabé footballer currently turns for Egyptian Premier League side Smouha.

He previously had stints with Abidjan-based Stella Club, Qatari sides Al Markhiya and Al Sailiya, Duhok of Iraq, Saudi Arabian side Al Ettifaq, Egyptian sides Al Masry, Zamalek and Petrojet.

Koffi made his first appearance for the Burkina Faso national team on November 15, 2006 in a friendly match against Algeria.

He played an instrumental role in helping the Stallions achieve a runners-up position in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, losing narrowly 1-0 to Africa giants Nigeria.

Koffi has made 49 appearances for Burkina Faso, scoring four goals in the process.
