Former Wydad Casablanca defender Murushid Juuko is still weighing his options after parting ways with the Moroccan giants.
The burly Ugandan, who can play at the heart of defence as well as in midfield, has offers from different clubs, but he believes it is too early to make a decision.
A reliable informer revealed to Ducor Sports that the crowd favourite defender has been in talks with an unknown club in Europe and is also eager to join KCCA if the deal overseas does not go through.
“Juuko has told me he’s been approached from Europe, I can’t mention the club and if they don’t reach an agreement he will consider joining KCCA,” reveals a source.
Juuko parted ways with Wydad several months ago and was previously linked with a move to South African side Supersport United.
Having joined Wydad from Tanzanian champions Simba SC at the beginning of the 2019/2020 Botola campaign, the highly-rated defender could not make his mark with the Lions of Africa and his contract was terminated.
Although he has been linked with a move to KCCA, sources close to the Ugandan Premier League outfit said they cannot afford to meet the 26-year-old’s salary package.
Juuko represented Uganda in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Egypt where he sustained an injury during the first game against DR Congo.
It is worth mentioning that the former Cranes youth international helped Simba win their first Tanzanian Premier League title since 2012, before moving to Morocco.
