Nasir Scores Debut Goal For Mamelodi Sundowns

Striker Abubeker Nasir came off the bench to score his debut goal as Mamelodi Sundowns hammered Kaizer Chiefs 4-0 in South Africa Premier Soccer League .

The former Ethiopia Coffee striker, who penned a three year deal with the DsTv Premiership side , inked his name in the scorers’ book in his second game for Sundowns.

Nasie came off the bench, late in the second half to grab his maiden goal. The victory send Sundowns on the top of the table on six points from four games.

Mamelodi Sundowns will take on Sekhukhune United in their next game slated for Saturday 20 August.

The Brazilians had a dream start as Sirino opened the scoring in the sixth minute with a close-range tap-in after a Chiefs defender failed to send a clear back pass to goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma.

Sundowns continued to pressurise Chiefs and Peter Shalulile scored from the penalty after Siyabonga Ngezana brought down the Namibian striker.

The Amakhosi  were nowhere to be seen upfront but they started to threaten after 34th minute but did not take their chances.

Sundowns lead went into the break leading Kaizer Chiefs 2-0.

The hosts extended their in the 53rd minute as Shalulile controlled well before volleying pasta helpless Bvuma from the edge of the area.

Chiefs tried to reduced deficit as the half went on, as Arthur Zwwane introduced Kgaogelo Sekgota, who troubled the Sundowns defence following his introduction.

However, Wits managed to grab a fourth goal in the 76th minute as Abubeker Nasir opened his account for the club with a brilliant individual effort.

Sundowns managed to see out the rest of the game and clinched the win, which has seen Kaizer Chiefs drop to 11th position.
