Malawi Premier Division side Nyasa Big Bullets have confirmed the signing and arrival of Mighty Wanderers promising striker Babatunde Adepoju.
The 25-year-old Nigerian international was released by the Nomads on June 3 ahead of his reported move.
And while the talented front man has already linked up with the Peoples Team, he will only be registered to play for next season.
A statement on the official Bullets website read: “Nyasa Big Bullets FC is delighted to confirm the signing of Babatunde Adepoju,” a club statement read.
“The Nigerian striker has joined The People’s Team on a three-year deal as a free agent from Be Forward Wanderers.”
Babatunde enjoyed success at Wanderers and has scored five goals in the ongoing season and fourteen goals in the 2019 season.
“As you remember, I signed a thirty month contract with Be Forward Wanderers and after the expiry of it, I started receiving offers from different teams even before the contract expired but I was waiting to hear from Wanderers as my parent club but it’s been a month and I had to finally make a decision to join Nyasa Big Bullets,” Babatunde told the club media.
“It feels good to be a Bullets player and I believe I will be able to contribute what I am capable of with the help of head coach Kalisto Pasuwa and my fellow players and I believe I will add value.”
Babatunde becomes the club’s forth signing during the current transfer window after Paul Kansungwi from Red Lions, Alick Lungu and Erick Kaonga from Ekwendeni Hammers.
Nyasa Bullets are currently on top of Malawian Super League table and are on the verge of clinching the title and a slot for participation in the CAF Champions League.
