Musa Nyatama is over the moon after getting voted South African club Orlando Pirates’ star player of the season.
The central midfielder made 30 appearances in all competitions in his debut season for Pirates, playing an influential role in Bucs recovering under former Uganda national team coach Milutin ‘ Micho’ Serdojevic from 11th to second place.
In an awards event held last Thursday, the former Bloemfontein Celtic man was also voted the players’ player of the season as well as the Fans’ Player of the Season.
Zambian winger Augustine Mulenga also walked away with the goal of the season award for his beauty of a strike against Bloemfontein Celtic, beating among many others, Justin Shonga’s rocket against Chippa United.
Happy Jele’s 12-year service to the club with over 200 appearances did not go unappreciated as he received the Chairman’s Award.
