Former Kakamega Homeboyz striker Wycliffe Ochomo has been shown the exit door along with five other players at Kenyan Premier League side Bandari FC.

Former Kakamega Homeboyz striker Wycliffe Ochomo has been shown the exit door along with five other players at Kenyan Premier League side Bandari FC.

The other five players are goalkeeper Mustapha Oduor, utility Moses Mudavadi, midfielder Cliff Kasuti alongside Alex Dunga and Mugendi Patrick.

Ducor Sports has learnt that the six players have received their settlements before they were allowed to leave.

This website has also been informed that the decision to release the above-mentioned players was taken in order to “downsize the playing personnel in order to remain with a small and manageable squad”.

Ochomo joined Bandari from Kakamega Homeboyz in January 2018 but struggled for consistency last season.

Signing for the Coastal-based club was meant to revive his career but things didn’t go according to plan and the club decided to let him go.

He featured just 25 times for Bandari since joining them, with most Kenyan Premier League appearances made as a substitute.

Ochomo is a veteran of 321 appearances in top-flight football despite being 29 years old.

However, his career took a nosedive soon after leaving Kakamega Homeboyz in 2017 following a short stint with Muhoroni Youth.

Ochomo made a name for himself at Ulinzi before being signed by Admiral in 2014.

The former Harambee Stars forward enjoyed his football at Kakamega Homeboyz, where he featured 23 times, scoring 10 goals and recording 16 assists.
