Orlando Pirates Midfielder Attracts Maritzburg Interest

Midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu could be lost to Orlando Pirates at the end of the season if reports of a possible switch to another Premier Soccer League side are anything to go by.

Midfielder Siphesihle Ndlovu could be lost to Maritzburg at the end of the season if reports of a possible switch are anything to go by.

According to Soccerladuma, Ndlovu is being monitored by scouts believed to be working for Maritzburg United.

The publication reports said The Team of Choice tried to sign Ndlovu on loan in January but were not successful and now they reignited interest in the midfield maestro.

Maritzburg chairman Farook Kadodia didn’t deny or confirm interest in the player, who has started in only five of the Buccaneers’ 23 Absa Premiership matches played to date this season.

“Look, we are not talking about any players and we are not talking about anything to do with players right now,” said Kadodia.

Ndlovu graduated from Maritzburg’s reserve side during the 2016/17 season, where he made 18 appearances in all competitions.

The following season turned out to be a breakthrough campaign for the player, as he scored four league goals and provided five assists in helping the Team of Choice to a fifth-place finish – their highest in history.

The 23-year-old was on the radar of Mamelodi Sundowns before signing to Pirates at an undisclosed fee.
