Crystal Palace defender Pape Souare has returned to full training 11 months after the horrific accident that saw him miss most of last season’s 2016/17 campaign.
The Senegalese left back had only made four appearances for the Eagles before the accident that left him with a broken thigh bone and jaw.
He had to be cut from the wreckage of his Mercedes and airlifted to hospital after the car crashed into the central reservation on a stretch of the M4 motorway near Heathrow Airport.
Souare, who back in December admitted to fears of never fully recovering from the injuries, looked rather jolly and in good shape during a fitness session and took to Twitter thanking the fans for all their support, adding that he felt great to be back.

he added.
Palace also shared a video on Twitter showing Souare training with the rest of the squad at their Beckenham training ground as they welcomed him back.
The 27-year-old last featured for Palace on August 27th, 2016 in their 1-1 draw against Bournemouth and will have to work hard to get a spot after nearly a year on the sidelines.
He will have to show Frank de Boer his prolific energetic wing-runs and committed defensive work if he’s to get back in first team football.
