Pogba V Pogba: The Ultimate Family Football Showdown

Paul Pogba and Florentin Pogba will meet this Thursday when Manchester United and Saint-Etienne face-off in the last-32 of the Europa League at Old Trafford, for the first time in 40 years.

Paul is in his first season at Manchester United whereas Florentin has played for Saint-Etienne since 2012 but the brothers have never played against each other professionally regardless, and they have been looking forward to the day since the draws were made in December.

“Playing against my brother will be something new,” Florentin told The Guardian. [perfectpullquote align=”full” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]”We’ve been having fun about it ever since the draw sending messages like ‘Watch out, the match is getting closer’ and so on.”[/perfectpullquote]

They even went ahead and posted videos on Instagram to commemorate the draw – Paul uploaded himself with older brother Florentin showing their heads superimposed on cowboys ready for a shoot-out while Florentin posted a video of himself dancing after the news.

In regards to the game, it will be a special occasion for the Pogba family as well as the fans and the brothers can only hope they put up good performances in respect to their clubs and family who will each be proud.
