Proline Coach Lule Not Worried About Bogere’s Absence

Proline FC coach Matia Lule is not worried with the absence of lethal striker Ivan Bogere ahead of the playoff round of the CAF Confederation Cup against Al-Nasr on Sunday 27 October at Alexandria Stadium.

Proline FC coach Matia Lule is not worried about the absence of lethal striker Ivan Bogere ahead of the playoff round of the CAF Confederation Cup against Al-Nasr on Sunday 27 October at Alexandria Stadium.

Bogere left under unclear circumstances with various reports indicating that the teenage forward is on the verge of a deal in the United Arab Emirates.

In the previous four games that the Ugandan side has played against Masters Security of Malawi and Rwanda’s AS Kigali in the tournament, the talisman has scored all the five goals.

However, Lule affirms that the club will stay focused on what is important to them as they have big ambitions in the tournament.

“We have a solution. We are blessed with many young talented players in the team and have equally good replacements for Bogere (Ivan). We have the likes of Bright Anuka and Hamis Diego Kizza, who can help us reach our targets,” he said.

Lule believes that they stand a chance against the Libyan side and scoring an away goal will be key for them to achieve history and progress to the group stages of the competition for the first time ever.

“We have done the possible scouting on our opponents (El Nasr) and we are ready to give them a challenge. We are an emerging force, but we are not taking things for granted. Even if it’s the last stone in our hands, we will aim at the target,” he added.

El Nasr host the first leg in Egypt due to the security situation in their home country Libya. The two teams will then meet in the return leg after a week in Kampala.
