Pyramids FC head coach Ante Cacic says he expects a tough game on Tuesday when they square off with Horoya AC in CAF Confederation Cup semi-final game at Mohamed V Complex in Casablanca, Morocco.
The Egyptian club is new to the continental competitions but they impressed in the quarterfinals and they want their fairytale to continue in the quest for their first Africa silverware.
Like Horoya, Pyramids are in a desperate search for a place in the final as they look to write their own piece of history.
“It’s going to be a tough game. Horoya is a good team and reaching the semifinal proves how strong they are,” said Cacic.

Pyramids captain Abdullah El Said echoed his coaches’ sentiments stating that he is expecting a tough test from the Guinean outfit.
“To reach the semifinal is a good achievement and we all know what’s at stake. Hopefully, we could win the title to be our first ever trophy. All the players are motivated to do something good for themselves and the club. Horoya is a good team, but we are here to win the title,” said El said.
Pyramids will be welcoming back Ivorian defender Wilfred Kanon and Burkinabe attacker Eric Traore after being away on international duty.
However, El Said is expected to lead the hunt for goals as he currently tops the charts of the Egyptian Premier League goal scorers with 17 goals with just one matchday remaining.
