Raja Casablanca Appoint Lassaad Chabbi As New Coach

Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca have finally announced the appointment of Lassaad Chabbi as their new head coach.

The Tunisian tactician has replaced Jamal Sellami, who recently parted ways with the Moroccan football heavy weights.

The Green Eagles have since brought in Chabbi as their new head coach ahead of their Botola League clash against Moghreb Tetouan.

Chabbi signed a short-term contract, which runs out by the end of the season, but could be renewed depending on results, according to the club.

Raja are currently second in the Moroccan top-flight, with six points behind leaders and cross town rivals Wydad Casablanca.

The former US Monastir coach won one Tunisian Cup title and steered the club to 2018 CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinals before losing to Raja Casablanca.

Raja Casablanca are scheduled to travel to Tanzania to face Namungo FC in their match-day five CAF Confederation Cup clash  at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium next Wednesday.
