Romelu Lukaku has lifted the veil on the rumors surrounding his transfer in which he states his future confirming his next move ahead of the upcoming 2017/18 season. The want-away Everton striker has been among the hottest transfer topics in the upcoming summer transfer window and hinted at an agreed move to another club.
However, Lukaku who moved to Everton in 2014, has in recent weeks been linked with moves to former club, Chelsea, as well as Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
[perfectpullquote align=”full” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]“My agent knows what’s going to happen and I know as well. I’m staying calm and we have an agreement with the club as well. We stay calm and at least we have a direction where we want to go,”[/perfectpullquote]
Lukaku told Sky Sports.
“I’m just going to rest for a few days and then just prepare for next season. I want to put the time in on my holiday to take everything to another level and be better than I was last year.”
The 24-year-old was top scorer last season for the Toffees with 25 goals in 36 Premier League games, helping to secure a seventh place and Europa League qualification finish for Everton.
Turning down a new contract in March that would extend his stay at Goodison Park, Lukaku according to his agent, Mino Raiola, will be allowed to leave if “certain clubs” meet the £100 million price tag Everton wants for his departure.
