Ronwen Williams Delighted To Join Mamelodi Sundowns

South Africa goalkeeper Ronwen Williamis has expressed his delight after joining Dstv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Bafana Bafana captain completed a move to Masandawana on Thursday, taking the spot of Richard Goss, who has since joined SuperSport United.

Speaking after confirming the five-year deal, Williams said he is happy and excited to join Sundowns after an exciting ten seasons  spell at SuperSport United.

“I feel amazing, there is a lot of excitement, finally I’m here. I’m happy to be part of such a prestigious team in South Africa and in Africa as a whole, I feel at home already,”said Williams.

“Sundowns has a wonderful record of adding trophies, I am looking forward to adding to the trophy cabinet. I have seen the Yellow Nation at the stadium, I’ve witnessed the atmosphere that they create for the players, they really are the 12th man and I’m excited to play for them – I am going to give my utmost best.”

Williams made his SuperSport debut in 2012 against Matlama FC of Lesotho in an African Champions League game.

He will be expected to rival Denis Onyango, Kennedy Mweene, and Reyaad Pieterse for a starting role at Sundowns.
