A highly rated Ugandan striker, Patrick Kaddu, has been linked up with Renaissance Sportive (RS) de Berkane as Moroccan clubs look to beef up their squads for the 2019/2020 season.

Kaddu is a 23-year-old who is currently on the books of KCCA FC in the Uganda Premier League. He is a powerful centre-forward in the mould of former Berkane’s Togolese striker, Kodjo Fo-Doh Laba, whom many know to have caused problems for Botola League defenders last season.

News coming out of Uganda is that Kaddu could be travelling tonight to Morrocco where he is set to undergo medicals before putting pen to paper.

The striker has also been linked with clubs in DR Congo and Egypt for his ability to take on players and a knack for scoring goals.

A source in Uganda has confirmed to Ducor Sports that RS Berkane are keen on signing the player.

[perfectpullquote align=”full” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””] “Patrick Kaddu will be on his way to Morocco. He is expected to leave Uganda for Morocco on Friday night. He is a top Ugandan striker. He is from Startimes Premier League champions KCCA FC. It’s a big club here in Uganda and all the best players here are with the club.”   [/perfectpullquote]

“Kaddu should be in Morocco for one of the big Botola clubs (confirmed that the club is RS Berkane) before the end of the week. He is 23 years old. He is a big boy and he is strong. He is fast and is good with both feet and also with his head,” said the source.

Kaddu was part of Uganda Cranes squad that made to the Round of 16 of 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt where he played three games.

RS Bekane finished the Moroccan Botola Pro League at a distant 6th position on 39 points from 30 games and also emerged runners up in the CAF Confederation Cup after falling to Egyptian giants Zamalek FC.
