Sadio Mane Unveiled At Bayern Munich

German champions Bayern Munich have confirmed the signing of Sadio Mane from Liverpool on a three-year contract.

The 30-year-old Senegalese, who joined the Reds seven years ago, heads to the Bundesliga outfit for a deal worth 43 million.

He made 269 appearances for Liverpool and delivered 120 goals, 38 assists and countless smiles and memories.

Bayern Chief Executive Officer Oliver Khan said the club wanted an international star that will attract more interest to the club and  the entire Bundesliga.

“We are delighted that we’ve been able to recruit Sadio Mané for FC Bayern. With his outstanding performances and his great successes at the highest international level over many years, there are very few players like him in the world,” Khan told the club portal.

“We’re sure that Sadio Mané will delight our fans in the coming years with his spectacular style of play. He’s ambitious and eager to win more titles. This is a very strong package. With players like him at FC Bayern, all the biggest goals are possible.”

Mane had just one year remaining on his contract at Anfield and departs negotiations over a new deal were shelved several months ago.

In an interview with Bayern website, Mane said: “I’m really happy to finally be at FC Bayern in Munich. We spoke a lot and I felt big interest from this great club right from the beginning, so for me there were no doubts.
