Aliou Cisse believes their today adversaries Poland have issues with tightening up their back-four.
The 42-year-old former Taranga Lions’ captain is buoyed up over picking the spoils against Poland, revealing his side has no antidote to the presence of super-star striker Lewandowski.
But Cisse points out the White and Reds have some defensive issues –a thing they would be looking to exploit, noting it’s paramount to win their opening fixture.
[perfectpullquote align=”full” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]“We know Poland have great individuals but they have some defensive weaknesses and we are one of Africa’s best teams and have lots of assets and no weak parts to our game. We want to exploit on this” [/perfectpullquote]
Aliou, who captained the Senegal team that reached the quarters beating France along the way, says ahead of the match.
Turning his attention to answer questions on his star-man Sadio Mane, Cisse extolled the former Southampton and Redbull Zalzburg’s striker tagging him as one of the best players there is.
“He’s already one of the best – you can’t say he’s not.
“He plays for one of the most iconic clubs, one of the best in Europe, and he’s top-notch for them.
“He’s absolutely unique because he is so unpredictable, that’s what makes him great – he can make the difference with a pass or shot. He’s already one of the best.”
Senegal would be under pressure to end African teams winless run after Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria and Tunisia endured defeat in their first matches.
