Mbaye Diagne is under-fire after a video emerged of him appearing to spit at an opponent player.

The incident purportedly occurred during a cup competition game involving Kasimpasa and Alanyaspor recently.

In the footage going viral, the Senegalese striker could be seen in a heated argument with an Alanyaspor player who appeared to make a hand gesture towards the 27-year-old former Juventus man.

Mbaye then reacted, with the video showing him spitting amid the dispute, prompting referee Suat Arslanboga to review the incident using the VAR.

Minutes later, the Turkish arbiter flashed the red card at the African player in the final minutes.

The Turkish FA disciplinary committee is subjecting the alleged matter under scrutiny amid calls for punitive measures.

Diagne risks facing a four-game ban if found guilty.

The Senegal international is sought-after in the transfer market with a blizzard of European teams at his trail.

Chelsea are reported to have had 10 million euros bid rejected with Kasimpasa holding out for 15 million euros.
