Serbian Striker Dejan Georgijević Ends Contract With Simba SC

Serbian striker Dejan Georgijević has reportedly terminated his contract with Simba Sports Club.

Georgijević joined the Tanzanian Premier League side in August  from Slovenian side Domzale, but his stay with John Mgunda coached side only lasted 54 days.

“I confirm that my contract of employment is terminated with a just cause due to the fundamental breaches of the Contract by the Club,” Dejan wrote to his Instagram Page on Wednesday.

Ducor Sports could not verify if the striker, indeed wrote the post on his timeline or the reason why he terminated the contract.

Georgijević was in Cape Simba’s squad that beat Malindi FC in their final a friendly match played in Zanzibar  two days ago.

He scored one goal only during his stay at the club and it came in a Tanzania Mainland Premier League game against Kagera Sugar on August 20 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.

The forward becomes the second Serbian to cut short stay at the club following Zoran Maki, Simba’s former head coach, whose contract was also terminated earlier this month after serving the club for 67 days.
