Ivory Coast international Serge Aurier has said he will not seek a move away from English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspurs in search for more playing time.

The 26-year-old defender, who joined the Spurs in 2017 for a fee of around £23 million, has started in 17 matches only this season, with only the UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool remaining.

“For the moment I do not desire to leave Tottenham,” Aurier told reporters “For the moment, I am very happy. This season I have been interrupted by injury more than anything else, but life is like that.”

“My season is not finished, I still have an Africa Cup of Nations too.”

Aurier began his career with French club Lens before moving to Toulouse in 2012. He signed for PSG in 2014, initially on loan, before making the permanent move in 2015.

He went on to play 81 times for the Parisian club, winning two Ligue 1 titles and three French Cups.

Aurier has been capped more than 40 times by Ivory Coast and played at the 2014 World Cup finals.
